Issue #5—Apology; Poem for When You Realize That You’ll Never Look at Brussels Sprouts the Same Way Again; Unrequited Love Pantoum

What's something you want to create in 2019?

I'd like to create a bigger space for art in my life. And I'd like to get back to growing food, in some capacity.

Name a writer you discovered in the past 12 months that you think others should know about

Ai. I'm late to the game, but her book Cruelty floored me.

Name a book you read in the past 12 months that surprised you

Anne Boyer's Garments Against Women, which I knew would be incredible and have been meaning to read, but which nevertheless rocked my little reading world.

If your approach to writing were a car company slogan, what would it be?

Driven by anxiety.

What are your sun, moon, and rising signs?

Sun: Sagittarius; Moon: Pisces; Ascendant: Libra

What is a piece or project you're working on now, that will be released soon, or that was recently released that you'd like to share with our readers?

A poem called "Red Ocher," which I've been submitting for over two years, will be coming out in Hot Metal Bridge.
